Odds and ends from school year 2008/2009.
Take a trip down memory lane!!

Tech Night for the 5th Grade was great fun. Parents and family were amazed at what their children had accomplished. Examples of podcasts, digital photography, PowerPoint presentations and claymation movies were shown.

Podcasts: Have a listen!

Claymation: Have a look!

Remember the 5th grade technology fieldtrip to the Apple Store to learn about podcasting?  They learned it well andabove are some podcasts!

The Multicultural Fair 2009 was great!

The Spring Concert was a wonderful opportunity to hear
our Waddell musicians who have been working hard this year!

The 5th grade chorus was a treat to hear as all their hard work showed too!

The Art Fair and Ice Cream Social was a blast this year!

Not only did we get to see art work from many of the students, but kids and adults got to use their creative problem solving skills while trying to build with small cardboard tubes. Tubes have a mind of their own when it comes to stacking so it was fun to see all the strategies families tried.
Some kids who could not come to the fair got to try it in the art room later.

Your hard work has been noticed! Waddell was second on a list of the top ten elementary schools in Connecticut who did great on a ConnCan test of successful schools. This is a big deal. Be proud!!
