First Grade January:

Lutz Children's Museum Visit

January was an exciting month in first grade!

Miss Rachel from the Lutz Children's Museum came to visit and taught us about "Animal Protection". She shared about how animals protect themselves from predators in the wild.

The children were able to handle a real armadillo and turtle shell. They also met a live hedgehog and had the opportunity to pet its quills using two fingers.

Miss Rachel also introduced us to a hissing cockroach and a bearded dragon.
The children learned how these animals adapt to their environment and protect them themselves in the wild.
