Dec. 2009 - Time for another reorganizing here. I wish I had not trashed the stuff I did last time (two years ago). I can't tell you how many times I have said to someone, "I bet that is still there; let me get it for you!" only to find out it was thrown out. By nature I do not throw things away and this reenforces that tendency.

June 2007 This is sort of our "attic". I just tidied up as it was so full no one could find anything anymore. We were full of things from 1998! Time flies!

However, as events of interest get posted on our home page and then get shuffled off, they may end up in here for a few years so you can look back and enjoy the memory.

This web site is made and maintained by Emma Craib, one of Waddell's art teachers.

Science Links:

  • videos from many sources that I have liked. Many are embedded on our site, but click the video and you will probably go to originating site (such as National Geographic).
Some videos are taken by me, of insects and amphibians primarily.

The former Nature Center had many useful pages which Waddell's web site has adopted.
I put too much work into these pages to let them go!!!!
I assume some links are dead, but much info I created is hosted by Manchester so it will always be there!

  • Leaf Litter Overview; what it is, different kinds, why it is important, what it does in the forest ecosystem; links on that topic; insect theme jigsaw puzzle link
The dead link to the nematode cartoon has been replaced by this:Adventures in Biocontrol at the USDA sie
  • How to make various invertebrate traps
cheap and easy and effective techniques for all you hunters out there!

  • Invertebrates found in leaf litter;don't miss the QuickTime movie of the centipede!

  • Pond Life; basics plus some interactive site links with puzzles, slideshows, dichotemous key (sounds like a jazz technique, doesn't it?!)
