to UCONN!!! Great series of print-outable maps for a series of 10 plant walks on the campus. PLUS you can do the walk ahead of time through photos online so you sort of know what to find and exactly where. An extraordinary resource nearby. More walk resources pending it looks like.

to another useful UCONN site, the Plant Database.
Also, download their Journal which keeps you up to date on happenings in their plant sciences departments at UCONN.

to the map and plant specie guide for a marked walking trail . It is not far from Manchester. ("Gathering" walk tours were provided by the Nipmuc Indian Association of CT, and the CT State Museum of Natural History. )

to the list of plants from our immediate area and their traditional uses. This is one of the resources I used when planning this garden.

here if you are interested in understanding the traditional use of natural materials by Mashantucket Pequot people.

Visit the new educational center in Ledyard! When you go to this web page you will find the link to a description of the display under the heading "Realization of a Dream" with the specific link titled "Exhibits Bring Pequot Heritage to Life". You should look around though, as there are many useful pages, including a calendar of some neat workshops to attend!
